It is a New Year, a new day...but today doesn't feel too new. Like everyone else, I experience life's little aches and pains...sometimes more than others...today is a "sometimes."
Probably more than anything, physical pain is a spiritual distraction for me...and it doesn't have to be. Perhaps times like these are the most opportune times to experience the manifestation of God's Presence, an opportunities to "practice what we preach", and to receive testimony of our faith.
There have been times that in faith, I touched on these things that beset me, placed them at the foot of the cross, realized that they are covered by the Blood of Christ, and experienced instantaneous relief. Other times, I have received my healing through faith and trust in Christ, as well as through the intercessory prayer and laying on of hands. There have been times that my healing was journey through which I learned things that helped me to understand purpose and God's timing. Then, there are times like these that pull me into a battle between the spirit and the flesh...at least I have recognized that today. Many times, I have failed to recognize it as a spiritual distraction and allowed it to take a day away from God. Today it will not...
God is an amazing God. His love is unfailing and His Presence is an abiding strength available to us through Jesus Christ. To allow the sufferings of this life to overshadow His power and deny Him the glory gains nothing for His kingdom. For if we will allow God to be LORD of ALL, then we are strengthened and empowered by the testimonies we receive through His victory over trials and temptations.
I praise God for the opportunities to share what He places in my heart. I thank Him for this blog... a ministry which He has allowed. I thank Him for a new year and a new day...
Be Blessed In Jesus Name,
Angie
