What If God...?

What If God…?

What if God just gave up

And stopped loving us one day?

Rejected and discouraged,

As His children went astray...

Deciding that the price He’d paid

Had been far to much to pay,

And that He could not stay?

This might be what He’d say…

“From the foundation of the world,

I have loved each of you.

It’s been difficult to look down

And watch the things you do.

Salvation, grace and mercy

Were offered to you free.

But few have been repentant

And received these gifts from Me.”

What if God decided one day

To leave this world alone?

And removed His Holy Spirit,

Bringing His love home,

And raptured the obedient

Who had harkened to His call?

Maybe then the world would see
