I have been away from my family for a few days now...
As I attended a small church down the road today, the subject of hell came up in both services. Suffering was a point that was well-addressed, even stressed. The pastor told a story of a child who came home telling his parents that the teacher had described hell as: riding in a car with the windows rolled up with no air conditioning in the middle of summer... How sad. The teacher has no idea and obviously has never read God's Word.
I believe that the greater part suffering of hell will be the emptiness of eternity...no relationship, no love, and even more important, separation from God, our Creator. If you have ever lost a parent, you understand the loss of that parent's love...the void that no other person will ever be able to fully fill. You may have mentors, dear friends, or father- or mother-figures, but none will ever be the same as your biological parent.
Such a loss cannot even compare to the void and emptiness that those who enter into eternal hell will experience. Nothingness...forever and ever.
Being alone this week has reminded me of the fulfillment that relationships offer life. Everything is better when shared...such will not be in a place of suffering called hell.
If you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, I pray that you will hear the knocking on the door of your heart. Receive Him as your Lord and Savior, and you will never be alone...no matter what your circumstances. Jesus will bring with Him a joy and peace that lets you know that He is always with you in Spirit and Truth...
Be blessed in Jesus Name,
Angie
