Seeking God's Voice

Seeking God’s Voice

The melody of creation rings
And magnifies the Master’s way,
Restoring peace and joy of life
Lost in the busy world today.

The blend of peaceful, cleansing tides
And tumbling of the washing waves
Smooth the trampled sands of time
That the rushing of life’s stampede made.

Frayed and frenzied lives seek out
The calm serene of life’s first days
When man, created by God’s hands,
Walked along His side amazed.

Wondrous sights filled his eyes,
Glorious sounds filled his ears,
Clearly, he heard God’s great voice,
And walked in peace and joy, not fear.

The spoken Words of his Creator,
The rushing wind in grassy fields,
Babbling brooks and trickling streams,
Resounding echoes in the hills,

The sounds of all created things,
Calls of wild birds in the glade,
Rustling leaves, tumbling shells
In the washing ocean waves,

Profound silence, sweet and still,
Mingled with both prayer and praise,
Fed and filled man’s soul with joy
And blessed his life both night and day.

Amid the sounds of modern clamor,
The voice of God seems lost and silent.
Sin’s sorrow, coupled with disdain,
Fills this wasting world of violence.

Oh seek the sounds of God’s creation,
His Mighty presence, peace and still.
Listen, for His voice still calls
To all of those who seek His will.

Jeremiah 29:13 says, "You will seek Me and find Me, when you seek Me with all of your heart."

Have a blessed day in Jesus' Name...
Angie
