Have you ever asked yourself, "Now what? Where do I go, what do I do to fix this? When are things going to change for me?"
As a pastor's wife, I see the struggles of many. Let me encourage you, Christian, that what God started, HE will finish. He is the Alpha and the Omega...The Beginning and The End (Revelation 22:13). Philippians 1:6 says, "...He Who has begun a good work in you will complete it...". Before my life began, God "saw my substance, being yet unformed and in His book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them." (Psalm 139:16).
So, what shall I fear? "The LORD is my Light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1) because "precious are Your thoughts to me, O God! (Psalm 139:17) LORD, You have said, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11).
So, we wait. We wait for direction and instruction...sometimes we are in storms of life, drenched in tears. But "God is our Refuge and Strength, a very present Help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear," (Psalm 46:1)
Sometimes, it seems life is "stalled out", and we cannot seem to do anything that moves us forward...we begin to get impatient and try to make things "happen" on our own, but we cannot get ahead. You say, "What do I have to do?" Sometimes, we have to realize that our next step into our purpose is not to be determined by us, but by God. God's Word says,"My ways are higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts." (Isaiah 55:9) So, "Be still and know that He is God." (Psalm 46:10) Remember Philippians 1:6?
So we wait. How will we know when it is time, when God is going to move in our lives?
Isaiah 49:23 says, "...you will know that I am the LORD, For they shall not be ashamed who wait for Me." "But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; They shall mount up on winds like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint," (Isaiah 40:31) Where and when the LORD leads is not laborsome. He has gone before us and orchestrated His will and plan if we are submitted and obedient.
Remember this...God's Word says, "Remember the former things of old, for I am God and there is no other; I am God and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, 'My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure,' call ing a bird of prey from the east, the man who executes My counsel, from a far country. Indeed I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do it. ( Isaiah 46:9-11)
Be blessed in Jesus' Name,
Angie
