Well, I just stood on it...my soapbox, my ground, what I believe in. This is so uncharacteristic of me... I am peaceful and passive, and this took guts because I had to tell it like it is, call it like I see it, and be blatantly honest.
It is time that we, as Christians, stand up for what is right and not tolerate what the world calls normal. I believe that the television gives us a pretty good example of what the world is calling normal these days...and some programming is not worth the film it is captured on...I'm just sayin'! So, these are shows that are not viewed in my household and I will continue to change the channel.
We cannot support unrighteous language and behavior and receive the full blessings of God. How can He bless it? We love peace...but the ocean is peaceful, and when the tide comes in and you are just laying there, you will drown! Now, we all know that we cannot police the world, but we don't have to tuck our tails and run. We can stand our ground and I know this much...God will be standing right there with us!
Sister, (or Brother)I had me some peace like a river when I said what I had to say...because God is with me."If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31)
I believe that is part of the reason that this country is in shambles...peace and pacivity took the place of purity and priorities. We have got to take a stance, agree to disagree, and stand up for what we believe in. If we don't, no one is going to do it for us.
Well, I guess you have experienced my first "rant." I feel better. Thanks for listening!
Be bold, be blessed...in Jesus' Name,
Angie
